Our latest releases include the documentary NARDJES A. by Karim Aïnouz, a coproduction between Algeria/France/Germany/Brazil/Qatar, which premiered in Panorama at the 2020 Berlinale. Our latest collaboration with Aïnouz, MARINER OF THE MOUNTAINS premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2021 (Special Screening).

Recent credits also include (M)OTHER by Antonia Hungerland (2018 DOK Leipzig); THE SURFACE OF THINGS by Nancy Biniadaki (Germany/Greece 2017); and FUTURO BEACH (Brazil/Germany 2014) by Karim Aïnouz, which premiered in Competition at the Berlinale.

Our feature films, documentaries, and short films have been shown and awarded at international festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, DOK Leipzig, Venice Film Festival, San Sebastian, and Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

CEO / Producer

Christopher Zitterbart

Christopher has more than 20 years of experience in producing. His feature films have been shown and awarded at international festivals, including Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, San Sebastian, and Thessaloniki International Film Festivals. Christopher has shot countless commercials and branded films in more than 20 countries, as well as many children’s short films that have been awarded at festivals around the world. Among many awards, in 2017 he received the prestigious German TV award “Grimme Preis”. Christopher also writes and directs advertising and image films and has shot for many brands including Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and ZDF.
Christopher graduated at Filmhaus Babelsberg, he’s an alumni of the Entertainment Master Class, member of EAVE Producer’s Network and member of the German Producer’s association.

Eddie Chebbi

Before joining watchmen in 2010, Eddie worked as production accountant and coordinator on various commercials and feature films, such as Michael Haneke’s The White Ribbon and Funny Games. When he’s not busy working on budgets or planning the next car shoot, he’s an active musician in the Berlin music scene.

Herbert Gehr

Herbert studied German Literature, Philosophy, Theater-, Film- and Television Sciences. Between 1986 – 1998 he was curator at the German Film Museum, Frankfurt am Main (Head of Gallery Exhibitions, Publications Editor in Chief and lastly Deputy Director).
After several years as Managing Director of film production companies, Creative Producer and Story Editor, he became Head of Development of Berlin based animation studio Hahn Film until 2018. Herbert gained experience as jury member of film festivals and public film funding institutions and is EAVE Graduate 2001.

Saskia Veigel

Saskia has 20 years experience in the film business. After finishing high school Saskia started in a business training for audiovisual management and worked on image films and commercials, coordinating shootings all over the world. In 2010 she started studies at Filmuniversity Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF where she graduated in 2016 with a diploma in Production. Saskia has worked in different positions in production from prroduction manager to postproduction supervisor for the web series DRUCK and as Producer for the documentary (M)OTHER.
Production Assistant

Sophia Sachs

Sophia studied Cultural Studies and German Literature. She interned in directing, dramaturgy and sound at several productions at Deutsches Theater Berlin and worked as a directing assistance at Shakespeare Company Berlin as well as in the independent theatre scene. As an AD she also was part of several short film productions. In spring 2023 Sophia joined watchmen as a production assistent in the feature film department.
